Larry Martin, retired corporate legal counsel and business executive, was born and raised in Los Angeles but his roots in the Central Valley began in 1919 when his grandfather purchased a farm in Modesto; to which his parents, Winifred and Laurence B. Martin, would bring their two sons during summer vacations.  He received his B.A. degree from Stanford University and then went on to the University of California, Hastings College of Law for his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

He and his wife of 52 years, Robin, have two daughters and four grandchildren.

He moved his family and his legal practice to Modesto in 1975 and, after years of private practice in Los Angeles and Modesto, joined E.J. Gallo’s legal team full time for 30 years before his partial retirement.
