President Trump and the first family hosted Capitol Hill lawmakers at the White House for the annual congressional picnic on June 22, 2017.
From first lady Melania Trump to White House press secretary Sean Spicer, many members of Trump’s family and inner circle were present at the summer event. Jim Costa, U.S. Representative for California’s 16th congressional district, invited the Maddy Institute Costa Scholars Thomas Baza (CSU – Stanislaus), Alexandra Gallo and Benjamin Warmerdam (CSU Fresno) to join him for the evening activities.
